VairFest 2026 Update
VairFest 2026 is just about three weeks away. To date we have 27 Corvairs entered and 41 folks registered. If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time to send in your entry form.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
Friday evening we have our pasta dinner and movie at the local Masonic Hall. This year we’re offering a choice of three pasta sauces: Bolognese (meat sauce), Marinara (no-meat), and new for 2026, an olive oil no-meat non-tomato sauce. We’ve picked out a fun movie to screen but are keeping the title secret for now. And don’t forget about the door prizes and goody bags for every registered party.
Saturday at the car show we have 11 restaurant gift cards (so far) for the morning raffle, and a terrific assortment of over 30 items for the afternoon raffle including six Clark’s gift certificates. We’ll be awarding trophies in 13 categories including Daily Driver, Work in Progress, and Longest Distance Traveled. So even if your Corvair isn’t pretty, it could still win an award.
And remember, all net proceeds from Saturday’s show will be donated to this year’s chosen non-profit ECHO, https://www.echoshelter.
And finally, on Sunday after breakfast we’ll be cruising our Corvairs out to Avila Beach for a walk on the pier. The scenery is beautiful and there’s a possibility of spotting a whale or two.
