Do you know about the Breakfast Club Rally?

Tomorrow, we will share our weekly weekend events drop. With spring and summer on the horizon, we wanted to introduce, or maybe re-introduce, you to one of the more interesting classic car events in the Bay Area, The Breakfast Club Rally.

Started in 2020 as a loose group gathering by car enthusiasts in the North Bay, the BCR has grown into one of the most diverse, drama free & fun events in the Bay Area.

From their FAQ:

Breakfast Club Rally® – we don’t serve breakfast, it’s not a club, and it’s not really a rally, either. It’s an hour and a half of hanging out drinking coffee, followed by two to three hours on backroads stripped by vineyards, rivers, redwoods, farmland, and the coast, with a bunch of likeminded driving enthusiasts.

Our monthly, brand-agnostic, mostly-vintage, value-blind rally goes down on the Second Saturday each and every month, year-round (two exceptions: January’s rally is on New Year’s Day, and August’s is in Carmel on the Saturday of Monterey Car Week). We also have special annual events (Air-Cooled Affair®, Blacktop Friday®, British Steel®, and Tokyo Calling®) and, from time-to-time, one-offs. All events are $50. Subscribe to our newsletter to hear about upcoming events first.

Let’s talk about the Air Cooled Affair. The ACA is a special limited-capacity event focused exclusively on vehicles powered by air-cooled engines from Porsche and other manufacturers (VW, Corvair, Tatra, Trabant, NSU, BMW, Citroën, Fiat, Morgan, etc.)

We would LOVE to see you and your Corvair at a BCR event this year. We would ESPECIALLY love to see a group of owners and members attend this year’s Air Cooled Affair in April.

We have also been contacted in the past by BRC folks who have asked us to get more Corvair’s out to their events. They love Corvairs too!

Mark your calendars. We are currently working on updating our calendar, but when we do, we will make sure to include future BCR events. If you do attend, let us know and take a lot of pictures. We have had quite a few SFBA members attend BCR events and all had glowing reviews. These folks know how to put on an event.

  1. I attended a BCR event in 2021. The tour was from Mill Valley across the Panoramic Hwy into Pt Reyes and finishing in Petaluma. I think it was about 100 miles. Departing Pt Reyes, I dropped a valve seat and tried to limp into Petaluma. Made it about 6 miles out when the engine finally went. Aside from that, it was a really fun event. They plan beautiful scenic stretches for these cruises. Highly recommended.
