SFBA Action Items for 2026

We are into Feb already (!) and SFBA is happy to report that we have already completed a couple of action items with more on the way.

All of our new officers are seated and working to keep operations running while looking for more ways to improve the club and maximize member value.

  • Our new membership credit card payment option is now live on the club website. We set this up through Stripe and, so far, early returns are good! Dues and donations can be made online by clicking HERE.

With that hurdle out of the way, we hope to bring more Corvair content to your inbox. No more than one a day, we promise! Setting up the processor and the membership drive took time away from sharing Corvair content with you. If you have a story, tech tip, photos or videos, events… anything Corvair related, we want to share it! Click HERE and tell us what you’ve got.

  • Events are always a topic of conversation among members. In person meetups ar, too. If you want to host an in-person meetup, let us know. If you want to host a tech session, cruise or anything else that will bring members and their Corvairs out, click HERE and let us know.

Events that are happening for 2026:

Autorama, Cal Expo – Sacramento, May 1-3

CORSA National Convention, Gettysburg PA June 22-26

Vairfest – Arroyo Grande, June 26-28

SFBA / Valley Picnic – Fremont, Aug 8th

Vairs at the Vault – Napa, TBD (likely Sept)

San Francisco Old Car Picnic – Golden Gate Park, Oct. 17

Great Western Fan Belt Toss – Palm Springs, Oct 23-25

  • We are exploring ways to have members more engaged with one another through the website. Message boards, a forum, an updated calendar are all action items that are under review or in progress. Costs, ease of use and safety are considerations when selecting the right plugins for our needs. Stay tuned!
  • This year, we want to have online contests for members and subscribers. More to come there.
  • We will continue to have monthly zoom meetings. We are spread out with members all over California, Wisconsin, Idaho, Illinois, Australia and England, so having a monthly place to meet is essential. Members are encouraged to join in and visitors are always welcome!

I think that’s it for now. Thanks to all who have renewed their membership for the year. We also appreciate our subscribers and other Corsa chapters who share our content. Let’s continue to be the best group of people in the classic car hobby while showcasing the coolest cars in the classic car hobby!
