Just for fun ~ The most expensive part

Ok, let’s have a little fun to kick off the week.

Corvair parts. You’ve bought them. Likely, because you NEEDED them. Maybe you went to go buy a used part from a guy and ended up walking away with a box of “other parts” that they no longer wanted and threw in. Maybe there was a gem or two in that box. Maybe not.

We’ve seen the posts and have heard the boasts about the success stories. You tell your spouses and all of your Corvair buddies about the unbelievable deals you’ve gotten on parts and cars. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

What we want to share today is the MOST expensive part you’ve bought for your Corvair. You don’t have to tell us how much you spent. That’s between you, the seller and your bank account.

What we want to know is, what was the part that you shelled out the MOST for.

  • A set of Kelsey Hayes wire wheels?
  • A multiplex AM/FM radio?
  • Early model dash clock?
  • Cal Custom split bumper?
  • An impossible to find NOS part?

If you are one of those out there who hasn’t spent a large amount on a part, what is that one part out there that you would sell a kidney for?
